Ahead of Metallurgists’ Day, SGMK rolled out its now-annual initiative: the "Proud of My Parents' Work" tour program for the children of employees in Novokuznetsk.

From June 16 to 19, 2026, 67 children aged nine and older had the opportunity to immerse themselves in the world of industrial technology. They explored various stages of the metallurgical cycle, seeing firsthand the operations of the company's own facilities and those of its partners. This experience was much more than an educational field trip – it gave the children a deeper understanding of the complexity and significance of their parents' work and a chance to appreciate the modern technology used on the shop floor today.

The initiative, supported by the HR Directorate of JSC SGMK, is built on the values of professional continuity and respect for labor. The children, seeing for themselves where their parents work, left with a wealth of new knowledge and lasting impressions. These tours serve as a clear example of how the company preserves traditions and strengthens family values by demonstrating to children the meaningful impact of their parents' labor.

"Children are our greatest treasure – they are the continuation of our values and the future we are building today," said Olga Letyaeva, Head of the Personnel Training Center at JSC SGMK. "That is why we strive to fill their childhood with exciting discoveries, surround them with care, and show them the vital work their parents perform. The 'Proud of My Parents' Work' project has become a bridge connecting the world of adult responsibility with the world of children's dreams, turning everyday jobs into a source of genuine family pride."
